Hi, I'm Sally McSpadden (she/her) and I was born and raised in Indiana. I grew up in a tremendously musical family and was surrounded by music from an early age. Family car rides and gatherings were filled with group singing, musical games, and sing-alongs. I studied piano and guitar as a child and frequently took park in music theater opportunities throughout my early life.

In college, I studied vocal performance and finished school with a BA in Ethnomusicology and Folklore from Indiana University. I then went back to school to complete my graduate studies in Library Science. I went on to be a children's and teen librarian, library branch manager, and library director until I discovered that I felt called to teach. I went back to school to get my teaching license and working for Indianapolis Public Schools for several years as an ENL teacher until a music teaching position opened at a local private school.

I now live in Indianapolis with my husband, two dogs, two cats, and I'm very happy to live close to my family. I actively participate in the Indianapolis Women's Chorus, and frequently performs in pit orchestras for local community theaters. When I'm not making music, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, playing with my pets, crafting, and anything outdoors.
